‘I’m based in a small town in Siberia called Divnogorsk which is surrounded by rivers and mountains. Late summertime and early autumn are the time of the fog in Siberia, especially in areas near small forest rivers and mountains. The mist suddenly appears from nowhere, envelops everything around, and only the tops of pine trees can be seen jumping out like fish for a few moments.’

Cairngorm Heather

‘Taken in the Cairngorm mountains. I’m interested in nature and macro, so the Cairngorms were a beautiful location. Using a vintage camera has allowed me a deeper understanding of photography fundamentals. In this shot I was drawn to the play of light on water and heather, adding depth and creating delicate bokeh.
