Our pick of the latest goodies to hit the banks

PRESTON INNOVATIONS SUPERAX ROD BANDS

WHAT THEY SAY: These bands are perfect for storing ready-made rods. The neoprene straps simply wrap around each end of your rod and bond together with Velcro straps.

The larger band of the two has an external pocket which is designed to store the feeder/lead on your line safely, without the risk of breaking rod tips or eyes. WHAT WE SAY: A simple yet highly effective pair of straps for securing rods in transit. We love the small pocket that will hold even a stemmed feeder securely in place.

WHAT WE SAY: Easily stackable in your bait bag or carryall, these well-made cases are perfectly proportioned to fit your feeders, keeping them organised and easy to find.

DRENNAN ACOLYTE SPECIMEN FLOAT RODS

WHAT THEY SAY: Slightly stiffer than the popular Plus models, these versatile blanks have a fast action tip which improves line management and pick-up while providing better float control at a distance. The progressive semi-through action has plenty of power lower down, giving added confidence and control when playing specimen fish.

Over two seasons these rods have been extensively tested on a variety of different venues, from big fast-flowing rivers to deep gravel pits, and have proved to be incredibly versatile.

The forward action is still soft enough for catching smaller fish with light hooklengths, but these rods really come into their own when using bigger floats
