Ash is quite a deep lake, but the under water bars provide much shallower water to present your rig on. Plumb around carefully to find them, then fish maggots or pellets on the long pole.

Peg 31 on Holmedale is known as the ‘Bore Hole’ and is deeper than the other swims, making it a hotspot. Try long pole or bomb and corn for carp to 8lb.

Depths vary from 6ft to 12ft on Basil Todd Lake. The deeps tend to be best in winter, with a cage feeder, long pole or slider best for the big skimmers and roach.
