Give Loco Pool at Lindholme a try!

LINDHOLME LAKES, EPWORTH, LINCS

The sunken island in the centre of Loco Pool is a magnet for F1s to 5lb and carp to 15lb. Try rotating your hookbaits to keep the bites coming.

BARSTON LAKES, SOLIHULL, WEST MIDS

Much of the bottom is silty but if you can find the gravel spots you’ll be in with a chance of carp to over 15lb. Hybrid feeder tactics with bright wafter hookbaits work well.

BLUNDELLS FISHERY, WARRINGTON, CHESHIRE

Ash is quite a deep lake, but the under water bars provide much shallower water to present your rig on. Plumb around carefully to find them, then fish maggots or pellets on the long pole.

SHERWOOD FOREST FISHERY, NOTTS

Peg 31 on Holmedale is known as the ‘Bore Hole’ and is deeper than the other swims, making it a hotspot. Try long pole or bomb and corn for carp to 8lb.

BILLINGFORD LAKES, NORWICH, NORFOLK

Depths vary from 6ft to 12ft on Basil Todd Lake. The deeps tend to be best in winter, with a cage feeder, long pole or slider best for the big skimmers and roach.

WESTON POOLS, OSWESTRY, SHROPSHIRE

On Canal Pool the swims where lily roots remain are best. Maggots work well, but corn and hard pellets are best for the bigger specimens.
