THE BEST FISH YOU’VE LANDED THIS WEEK

“THE SESSION OF ALIFETIME!”

“ON A RECENT trip to a southern reservoir I enjoyed a fantastic bream session, landing 11 doubles topped by this 15lb 5oz fish. “The others ran up to 14lb 12oz, including five 13-pounders.

“All the fish came after I’d made a swim move to an area where they’d been shoaled up.

“Once the guy who’d been in there left, I got straight into the area, and all the fish came in two-and-a-half hours. It was the session of a lifetime!

“The successful tactic was helicopter rigs and swimfeeders, with corn and maggot hookbaits.”

Neale’s top tip: Look out for signs of fish, and be prepared to move if you’re not catching.

“It fell for a hair-rigged yellow pop-up hookbait.”

“MY BEST CATCH YET!”

“ON a 24-hour session on Lower Maynard at Walthamstow Reservoirs, I managed to catch this carp of 35lb 8oz!

“It’s my first from there this year and, as one of the oldest residents in the water and a new PB, it’s my best catch yet!

“I went down the boilie route to tempt it, feeding a bed of them and fishing a pop-up over the top.”

Junior’s top tip: A spinner rig was successful for me with this fish. It’s an extremely versatile set-up and very easy to use.

“A LOVELY OLD ENGLISH MIRROR!”

“I’D TRAVELLED to the famous Bluebell Lakes complex from my home in Lancashire for a five-night session, hoping for carp. “Looking at the forecast, I noticed that a sunny and warm day was on the way, s
