Ford’s ZEV scheme is from another Galaxy
FROM: Clyde Brown FORD thinks it’ll be able to meet the 22 per cent ZEV target by reducing production of ICE cars. I wonder what planet they are on? Few people want to buy EVs, so doing this will merely reduce all the brand’s sales. I think it’s tantamount to shooting oneself in the foot.
Young designers’ futures look bright
FROM: Ian Yearsley I LOVED your recent article on the future of car design (Issue 1,831). There are clearly some great young designers out there, all boasting some really innovative ideas. In my opinion it’s safe to say that the car-design industry looks like it’s in even safer hands.
Why ‘abandoned’ EV driver has defected
FROM: Keith Matthews AFTER more than three years as an EV driver/advocate, I’m sadly going back to a PHEV. Why? Despite the savings in running costs, I couldn’t justify the purchase price and depreciation of a new EV. The Government aids company-car drivers, but has abandoned private buyers.
