The Duchess of Sussex has hired a new PR guru – and could be planning something ‘radical’

Following an explosive week of speculation about Kate Middleton’s whereabouts, the Princess of Wales would have been hoping for a quiet last few weeks before she returns to duties after recovering from her abdominal surgery in January. But it seems as though that intention might be scuppered amid rumours that Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle are planning a UK comeback just as Kate returns to public life.

A recent shock report claimed that Meghan is on the hunt for a UK PR guru to help bolster her public image – and that of Archewell, the foundation she and Harry run in California – this side of the pond. However, the role is likely to be something of a poisoned chalice, according to one source. An insider said, “Representing the couple in the UK is a tantalising thought but they don’t have a reputation for listening to advice. What would be the point?”

But a comeback for Harry and Meg anytime soon would likely be the last thing the royals would want. After the Easter bank holiday, it is expected that Kate, 42, will make her much-anticipated return to work. And after so much speculation about her health and whereabouts, the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could prove difficult.

To many, news of Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, being back on UK soil will come as a surprise. Following the couple’s relocation to the US in 2020, Meghan’s trips to the UK have been few and far between; while she did return for the late Queen’s state funeral in September 2022, the former Suits star reportedly vowed never to step foot in the UK again. When Harry has occasionally returned in the time since, Meghan has stayed home in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.

However, after years of rifts between the royal family, only deepened in 2023 by the release of Harry’s explosive memoir Spare, the youngest son
