Unexpected love

£50 Star letter

What a lovely story from Samantha: ‘I married the man who saved my dad’s life’ (issue 15). You never realise the effect paramedics have on people. They are a truly fantastic service. But it is more than that – they stay calm in a crisis, comfort people who are in a state of panic. It’s not just a job to them. I wish Samantha, Mike and their daughter a happy life together.

Dealing with grief

Jane McDonald is such an inspiration. Not only has she dealt with the death of her mother and partner, but she’s kept a smile on her face and remains positive. Your interview in issue 15 shows the importance of dealing with grief in whatever way works for you. Can’t wait to see her on tour! Sammy Hampshire, Durham

Talking point

New research has revealed that Brits are completely split when it comes to sharing a bed with their beloved animals. So, we ask, would you share a bed with your pet?

My two pups have been great since I lost my husband, I couldn’t be without them, even in bed.

I draw the line at my dog sleeping in the bed. I love him dearly, but I couldn’t be doing with all that hair!

Sleep is far too important to me. If they kept on wriggling and moving I would go insane!

I barely like sharing my bed with my husband, let alone an animal!
