Buns of joys

We love bread, and we love cake, so this, quite frankly, is a marriage made in carb heaven. Forget bread and butter pudding – these are Vatrushka buns, made with dough with a slightly hollowedout centre that’s filled with deliciousness – in this instance, a sweet curd cheese similar to ricotta. Created by Julia at vikalinka.com, they remind us a little bit of the filled buns you can get from the bakery, only a much more modern version! Find the recipe on her website.

This video – shared on TikTok by Charming Critter Haven – is simple, yet incredibly effective. It shows a gorgeous little short-eared rabbit chewing away without a care in the world.

Standing next to a blueberry plant, we applaud the snack choice in that we should be eating more fruit packed full of antioxidants, but sometimes we get sidetracked by other (less healthy) treats.

Regardless, we could watch this cute little bunny all day.
