As Linda Nolan marks her 65th birthday, the star continues to seize the day – and inspire everyone around her
Anyone who has been following Linda Nolan’s cancer journey will know that she hasn’t let it define her – and has instead fought to make the most of every moment.
Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. Later, in 2017, she was diagnosed with a form of incurable secondary cancer in her hip, which spread to her liver in 2020. And last year, Linda, who lost her husband Brian in 2007, revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain – which has affected her mobility and speech. Since then, Linda, who shot to fame alongside her sisters as part of pop group The Nolans, has become living proof that while cancer can change your circumstances – it doesn’t have to change your outlook on life.
And now, as the downto-earth star marks her 65th birthday on Friday, 23 February, she’s no doubt following that same mantra.
After all, Linda has previously revealed, ‘I just try to wake up and say, yes! Another day to make memories!
