NEW BASE
Lacura Perfect Skin Tint (£4.99, Aldi stores, while stocks last from 17 March)
Spring calls for a change of base and this lightweight tinted moisturiser ticks all the boxes. It’s similar to Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint (£28, fentybeauty. com), but at under £5, is a fraction of the price. I’ve been trying this and it provides surprisingly good coverage – blurring small blemishes without the need to go over them with concealer.
If you’re looking for a more sheer effect, add a couple of drops of serum and apply with your fingertips.

RED NAILS
My Mood Nail Polish in Weirdo (£5, boots.com)
Red is a shade that never goes out of fashion and to prove the point, the cheery hue was on the catwalks as one of this season’s hottest trends for nails. This ruby shade suits every shape of talon and flatters all skin tones. Quick-drying, the polish stays put without chipping and has a wide brush to make applying easier. Two coats (over a basecoat) of colour and a top coat will make it last even longer. We’re not in sandal season yet, but this works well on toes, too.
