Neither have ever been backwards at coming forward but lately Sharon Osbourne and BGT’s Amanda Holden have been engaging in a war of words which is – let’s face it – quite entertaining for the rest of us.
It all sparked off when Amanda gave an interview that appeared to take a pot shot at Sharon and her pal Louis Walsh’s recent stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
During the show, Sharon said she wouldn’t appear on a Cowell show ‘for all the money in the world’, appearing to blame Simon for her missing out on a gig with The Masked Singer by saying: ‘But that’s Simon. He cuts you off. He doesn’t know how to keep friends’, while Louis Walsh said of his former colleague: ‘I haven’t talked to him at all, nothing, zero.’
Watching at home, it seems BGT judge Amanda was unimpressed, and retorted in an interview:
‘I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had.
‘It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby.’
Twelve hours later, Sharon took to Twitter, addressing her post to the BGT host.
‘Amanda... I respect the fact that you feel the need to defend your good friend and employer, Simon Cowell… ‘However, a couple of your statements regarding myself are factually incorrect.’
Sharon went on to list her professional achievements in the 500-word post, which branded Amanda an ‘illinformed sycophant’ and included the words:
