Our cover bird is the “other” kookaburra this week: not the laughing one but its handsome cousin the blue-winged. This is a popular species in zoos and larger private collections, breeding readily given the right conditions. Back in regular cage-bird territory we also receive an expert intro to cage-floor covering: much more than an afterthought for smart fanciers.
