ID BUZZ GOES GLAMPING

As if Volkswagen’s electric ID Buzz wasn’t eye-catching enough, how about the psychedelic look on this one-off festival special?

The Glamper Van, based on the Buzz Cargo, has been wowing festivalgoers at events all summer. The unique vehicle is wrapped in a multicoloured design, while inside it has an Instagram-friendly photo booth, lighting and props.

It made its debut at PennFest 2023, a family-friendly music festival in Buckinghamshire featuring Noel Gallagher.

Laura Bignall, Brand and Performance Marketing Manager at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “It’s the ideal setting to capture the perfect festival photos and showcases the fantastic versatility of the all-electric ID Buzz Cargo.”

VANWORX LAUNCHES NEW BOAT AND BUGGY

Converter, Vanworx, has launched a new buggy and rigid inflatable boat (RIB) designed to be towed behind its VW campervans. The new venture follows on from the success of its MaxTraxx off-grid campervan, a high-spec conversion based on the VW Crafter. Vanworx has collaborated with Williams Jet Tenders to customise the RIB, while the buggy uses a Polaris 1,000cc as its base.

“The idea behind it is that the boat is small enough to take with you camping and exploring. It is powered by a Rotax engine, which means no propeller, so it is extremely safe for swimming at the rear of the boat. With a speed of 46mph, and collapsible tow pole and swim ladder, this really is so versatile for leisure trips and for those who want to free dive and fish,” explained company founder, Dave Garnsworthy.

The MaxTraxx RIB starts from £60,000, and the buggy starts from £35,000.
