German motorhome manufacturer, Sunlight, launched its 2024 season at the start of 2023. Plans included three new Ford-based low-profiles and a raft of changes, as well as three new fabric choices and the deletion of one model – the T 69 L – from its range.
The new Ford-based models are the T 670 S, T 690 L and the T 680 Adventure Edition, a 7.36m-long low-profile coachbuilt built on the Ford chassis, which is available with a far more distinctive front ‘Raptor’ grille reminiscent of Ford pick-ups from the US.
The T 690 L is a Ford-based version of the Fiat-based model that has been discontinued, so those searching for this layout can avail of it on the Ford chassis instead.
As standard, all three new Ford-based models come with a 130bhp turbo -diesel coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. There is an option to upgrade to the 155bhp engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox if required.
The standard specification in the habitation area is high, and made even more so by the addition of the Adventure Edition moniker. As standard, expect a cab sunroof, a larger 156-litre fridge/freezer, unique soft furnishings, framed windows, twin doors to the garage and a raft of what are normally optional packs as standard, while on the exterior the cab comes in Obsidian black and buyers get 16in alloys.
Beds come with high-quality cold foam mattresses and premium wooden slatted frames. With a headroom of 210cm, all three are aimed at making them appealing to taller people. Kitchens are equipped as standard with a two-burner hob.
The T 670 S is the shortest of the new trio at 6.99m and features twin single rear beds, while the new T 690 L is 7.36m long and features a rear island double bed.
In other changes, the interior as well as the exterior of all Sunlight models have been redesigned. On the inter
