What exactly is cool? It’s hard to put your finger on it, but you’ll certainly know it when you see it.
When it comes to campervans, it’s a design that really stands out from the crowd, a true head-turner, with features that will make you say “wow” – and all of those certainly apply to our winner in this category.
When the judging team first set eyes on the Crafter-based Grande Adventure 600 at the NEC show it stopped us in our tracks. It looked incredible, with eye-catching, lime-green contour line decals contrasting with the dark grey body. When we had a closer look inside we were even more impressed. And when CJL owner, Cye Hayes, talked us through the thought process behind the campervan’s myriad features, we were simply blown away.
There’s some real innovation going on here and it’s not just for the sake of it. Here is a ’van where everything has been done for a reason and all to the highest standard, from the slide-out garage to the Bluetooth sound system. The new Grande Adventure has been perfected to the last detail and is tailor-made for cool adventures..
The layout features a transverse double bed at the rear with a dual-core foam mattress. Underneath is a huge garage area where you can carry up to four bikes, or two bikes and room for a large portable fridge, or dog cages, or whatever you need to carry. You can even charge e-bikes with the 230V socket and a pull-out hot shower at the rear lets you hose down your muddy boots (or yourself) so you don’t make a mess inside.
The offside wall and rear doors feature built-in storage lockers fitted with removable bags, so you can easily take them into the house when your trip is over and store them there ready for the next adventure.
