1 CLIPPESBY HALL NORFOLK

Located on the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park, this site is spread over eight different areas with a choice of all-weather pitches, secluded pitches set in woodland, or more open, family-orientated areas, all with electric hook-up available. There is also an exclusive campers-only area with non-electric tent pitches. There’s plenty to do on site, including cycle hire, tennis courts, mini golf, a café, shop and a licensed bar.

You can enjoy lots of cycling in the area and can ride out to Hickling Broad Nature Reserve (eight miles away), and it’s only four miles to Potter Heigham, where you can hire a boat to explore the Broads or take a walk alongside the River Thurne. The picturesque village of Ranworth is seven miles away, where you will find a medieval church, plus Ranworth

2 EXE VALLEY CARAVAN SITE SOMERSET

This is an adults-only site set in a wooded valley within the Exmoor National Park, nestled between the River Exe and a mill stream. You can walk through the site, alongside the river to the pretty weir area, which also makes for a nice dog walk. Longer walks are possible following footpaths from the campsite out to the moors, woodland and rivers. The site is also a wildlife haven, with over 50 varieties of birds having been spotted here.

The campsite covers four acres with grass pitches with electric and TV hook-ups, and 18 hardstandings. Facilities include toilets and showers, a launderette and dishwashing area, plus a small site shop. There is a village inn opposite the campsite and a local bus service.
