Billed as ‘the world’s most beautiful multi-terrain vehicle,’ the Skye from Callum Design is an altogether different affair from pretty much everything ex-Jaguar designer Ian Callum has previously penned. AMG’s 4.0-litre V8 is joined by an e-motor and battery pack to create the SL 63 E Performance, good for 805bhp and up to 1047lb ft, a 2.9sec 0-62mph time and a 197mph top speed. As well as being one of the quickest hair dryers in the known universe, it has a ‘Smoothness’ mode for chilled-out one-pedal electric driving.

What is it? The fastest, most powerful SL ever made I Tech specs Electric rear axle, rear-wheel steering, mechanical limited-slip differential, new customisation options I Aimed at? Boulevard cruisers in a real hurry I When can I get one? In 2024, but very likely not coming to the UK
