We take a detailed look at four of Adria’s ranges; with sleek and compact to spacious and luxurious, there is something for everyone

Words: Val Chapman

From Slovenian manufacturer, Adria, comes one of the smallest caravans you can buy – and also some of the very largest. Something for all tastes, then. There are four ranges – and one on its own, the Adria Action. This is the smallest Adria, and the one that arguably grabs the most attention for its eye-catching curved body shape.

The Altea range offers three layouts. Then comes the larger Adora range, with four layouts.

And, at the top of Adria’s spec, size and weight tree comes the Alpina range, with three layouts.

ACTION 361 LT

As its name implies, this caravan is designed with adventure in mind. It is a brilliant package of practicality and style; sporty in looks, with a U-shaped lounge that is large by any caravan standards, light in weight and therefore suitable for a wide range of towcars.

When Adria launched the Action back in 2005, the manufacturer unveiled what was to become an icon, unlike any other caravan in body shape, and with bold decals to add to its eye-catching capabilities. Nineteen years on, the Action has, of course, undergone several updates, but the basic principle endures: that’s its appeal to couples for whom activity and adventure go hand in hand with caravanning, and who want a caravan that makes that statement.

The impressive daytime-mode lounge comfort translates to a double bed that measures 2m square, or you can use the settees as single beds; each is 2m long and 66cm wide.

Kitchen equipment is a two-burner hob, a combined oven/grill and, of course, a fridge. There’s no microwave but the kitchen storage space is impressive, in the form of three drawers, plus a slim, two-shelf cabinet above the sink. There’s also a cabinet that’s ideal for pans, beneath the oven/grill.

The combined shower/toilet compartment contains an ingeniously designed and substantially constructed washbasin that folds upwards, to become part of the mirrored cabinet above.
