Your tips are genius!
Sow the seeds
Keep any seeds you haven’t planted earlier this year in a Tupperware box with a silica gel packet – you can find these in parcels. This will keep the seeds nice and fresh, ready for planting next year.
Time saver
Pop your mushrooms on a wooden skewer and cut down each side. This cuts them all at once rather than you having to cut them one by one, saving you time when cooking dinner.
Hot and ready
Pop a hot water bottle under your duvet in the evening before you go to bed. That way, your bed will be nice and warm when you come to get in later.
Remember these are YOUR tips - we haven’t tried them ourselves.
Homemade heater
Turn old socks into a hand warmer by filling them with rice, sewing across the top to seal it and popping it in the microwave to heat it up. They’re perfect for fitting in coat pockets during winter.
Snuggle bug
Use a fluffy blanket as a bottom sheet on your bed for extra warmth and comfort in the winter months. You’ll probably sleep better, too!
Rain buster
Spray WD-40 on your dark shoes and boots to make them water resistant in rainy weather. It works perfectly on cheaper shoes which are prone to leaking and means you can wear whatever you want.
Pet peeves
Spray some of your everyday hair spray onto a rubber glove and wipe down your sofas and fabric covered furniture to easily remove pet hair.
The loose hair sticks to the glove and this way is much easier than using a comb or faffing about with the Hoover.
Brilliant brew
After you’ve had your cuppa, put your teabag to good use and use it to clean your mirrors. It has antibacterial properties and leaves glass streak-free.
