Botanical candles

We’re all guilty of splashing out on an expensive candle or two. But did you know there’s an even easier way to recreate your favourite scents at home? They make the perfect gift, too.

1. Dry the petals or small blooms from your leftover bunches – you can even air-dry them.

2. Arrange them inside a heat-resistant mould or jar.

3. Then, place a wick in the centre of the jar and pour melted wax over the dried flowers, making sure it is evenly distributed. You can buy candle wax from most hobby and craft shops.

4. Allow the wax to cool and solidify, resulting in a stunning botanical candle.
