Are we more than mates?

Q My best friend and I have been sleeping together on and off for years – we’ve known each other since we were teenagers and whenever we’re single we end up in bed.

We’re both adamant that we don’t want to be a couple but it’s hard to move on to something new when he’s always around. I can tell that our mutual friends are getting bored of us always going back and forth.

Please help!

A It is time to ask yourself some serious questions. Are you sure you don’t want a relationship with this man? There must be a reason you end up going back to him. Do you just like keeping him around for the sex?

Figure out what you want, and if it is something more, then talk to him, flower.

If it’s not, just enjoy this for what it is – a bit of fun.

My girls are enemies

Q My daughters hate each other, and it’s got to the point where if one shows up at my house while the other is there, they’ll leave.

I want to celebrate my birthday this year with a big party and would really love them both to be there.

But I know they won’t come if they have to be together.

I’ve asked them why they’re fighting but they won’t tell me.

A You need to set some ground rules, petal. Tell your girls they don’t need to speak, they don’t even need to be friends.

But they should respect you enough to be civil.

If they can’t sort themselves out, uninvite them both from your party, and have a lovely time without them.

If they don’t want you involved then they shouldn’t bring it to your doorstep!
