Taylor delves deeply and authoritatively into how this feat was achieved over 176 pages. Naturally the main detail and focus is on the models that were current – complete with buying tips and spec tables – but there are also chapters on company structure as well as an examination of the engines that powered the many millions of machines. The book is well-illustrated with 270 photographs; a mixture of publicity and advertising shots along with more current images from shows, etc. Excellent research skills coupled with Taylor’s fine way with words make this an invaluable reference work.
