UPCOMING AUCTION ACA, KING’S LYNN. 1-2 APRIL

Anglia Car Auctions’ two-day sale might kick off on April Fool’s day but there’s no messing around when it comes to this varied choice of classicss

A generously proportioned sale should also offer plenty of variety and one featuring a 1932 Austin Seven van alongside a 1990 Toyota Century would appear to do precisely that.

A selection of MGBs including a one-owner 1973 model (est: £7000- 9000) and 1972 automatic (est: £6000-8000) is joined by a pair of 1952 TDs – aLHD one estimated at £10,000-14,000 and another at £15,000-20,000.

A pair of Morris Minors, one a 1969 Traveller the other a 1956 four-door, are offered at no-reserve. The latter is one of several projects on offer in this particular sale.

A 1953 Austin A90 Atlantic coupé (also no-reserve) makes an unusual sight, too, and with much work already done, a part-completed 1968 Jaguar S-type 3.8 project car is estimated at £10,000- 12,000.

Looking for a touch of la dolce vita from your next classic purchase? Then step this way because two Alfasuds are offered at no-reserve and there are two 1960 Giulietta Spiders, one of which is estimated at £48,000- 58,000, while a Veloce model is £70,000-80,000.

A 1966 Autobianchi Bianchina is estimated at £4000-6000 and a 1967 Fiat 1100R Familiale at £8000-12,000. A 1951 Lancia Aurelia B10 with period Mille Miglia history (it took part in 1952) but in need of restoration, is estimated at £18,000- 22,000 and should arouse plenty of interest.est.

US offerings include a 1931 Buick 8-90 sedan (est: £15,000- 18,000), 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible (est: £17,000-19,000) and a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette (est: £6000-8000)000) as well as a 1964 Chrysler 300K two-door, estimated at £17,000-20,000.0.

Fast Ford’s come in the shape of a 1967 Mustang GTA S-code fastback (£48,000-58,000)00) and a 2000 Ford Mondeo ST2000 saloon with a £6000- 8000 estimate. A 2002 Mondeo Ghia X 24v that’s covered 18,911 miles has no-reserve, meanwhile.

1953 AUSTIN ATLANTIC

There’s no getting away from the Atlantic’s appeal but the market frequently overlooks – or even completely forgets – this post-war Austin. It was fast and capable of covering large distances with ease in its day but its looks have always polarised opinion. The vendor of ACA’s Atlantic bought it in 2008 and, the auctioneer says, immediately sent the car for work that cost £5000 or so over the next two years. It was believed to have been running at the time only for the work to end. There’s plenty left to do but it would make a supremely rewarding project if bought for sensible money.
