CAFFEINE & MACHINE STRATFORD-UPON-AVON, WARWICKSHIRE. 23 APRIL

It could be argued that this Warwickshire venue has a Drive-It Day every day as this automotive themed meeting place and restaurant plays host to groups of friends or clubs gathering to enjoy seeing each other’s vehicles in their spacious surroundings. During the course of last Sunday a steady stream of truly eclectic classics, from 1930s hot rods to modern supercars flowed in an out of the venue, some owners stopping for longer to eat the excellent food and others having a quick coffee and moving on. Alfie Williams, Caffeine & Machine’s front of house man said: ‘We’ve been lucky with the weather and had a very interesting and enjoyable Drive-It Day, with well over 300 cars coming through today. Enthusiasts of any vehicle are always welcome, but we’ve had a particular emphasis on American cars today that’s seen some very impressive cars and pick-ups parked in front of the restaurant.’

The venue states they exist to cater to everyone with a love for things that move and they certainly do that. Personally, I love the relaxed catch-all atmosphere as I’m just as interested in a Ford Model A hot rod as I am a rally-bred Japanese 4x4, and that’s how it should be!
