DRIVE-IT DAY MEET, BROOKLANDS MUSEUM, WEYBRIDGE. 23 APRIL

All machinery – from a pre-war Frazer Nash to a Marcos Mantis – was given equal billing at Brooklands’ Drive-It Day bash, which was a deemed a hit despite inclement conditions throughout. Clubs played a big part; the Triumph Stag Owners' Club Kent, Surrey and Thames Valley regions joined forces to gather 25 cars for the event, as did the MG Car Club’s T-Type register and MPH 2 – Midhurst, Petworth and Haslemere.

Brooklands' head of track and air events, Steve Castle told CCW that the event had been well received despite the conditions. He said: ‘We love people joining with us on the day.’
