LANCASTER INSURANCE CARS & COFFEE ST IVES, CAMBRIDGESHIRE. 23 APRIL

The promise of automotive eye-candy with ample parking and free tea and coffee added into the mix created a powerful incentive to head to Lancaster Insurance's Cars and Coffee meet in Cambridgeshire. A smattering of early birds had beaten us to the chase so there was a decent selection of cars demanding attention by the time we arrived at the start time and more arrived throughout the course of the day.

Lancaster Insurance's Head of Car Club Relations, Steph Hoy, was understandably pleased with the turn out on the day, saying: ‘I loved it today – meeting people and seeing the incredible cars.

'We had a little bit of everything, including pre-war classics, kit cars and Land Rovers and it’s been nice to embrace modern classics, too. Everyone is welcome, including those who couldn’t make it in their classic today, but came in a modern car. With owners opening their vehicles up to let kids sit in them and press the horns, it’s been a really family-friendly meeting that shows that a younger generation are also interested in classics’.

Event organiser Lancaster Insurance is encouraging classic owners to head to its next meet, which takes place at the same venue on 21 May.
