Our series focusing on younger owners is a positive move, Mirek Synek reckons.

Your new Next Generation Diaries series focusing on young enthusiasts, is a major step in the right direction. We are an ageing bunch (I am 66) and if our hobby is to survive, we need young blood to carry on – and gradually replace us.

The article covering Luke Roberts’ 1954 Armstrong Siddeley Sapphire is excellent. This is a major achievement, almost a mission impossible for a young person. I wish Luke and enthusiasts like him every success and many happy miles.

The other good news is about the race being run entirely on synthetic fuels at the Goodwood Revival Meeting (CCW, 10 May).
