UPCOMING AUCTION

CCA, WARWICKSHIRE EVENT CENTRE. 9 DECEMBER

CCA’s work has paid off with a fine year-ending offering that features something for almost everyone

Rarities to much-seen models, and projects through to the immaculate make this an auction not to be missed. The project offering is boosted by the 20-lot Stoneacre Collection that numbers several Mercedes-Benz R129s along with a 1960 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and a 1966 Chevrolet Corvette.

The fast Ford line-up includes a quartet of Escort RS Turbos, three from 1985 (one being a Stoneacre project) and a 1988 example while going more old-school a 1973 Capri RS3100 and 1974 Escort Mexico are welcome additions. Not as fast but certain to fire up Ford lovers is a 1962 Consul Capri originally sold new to the USA. In the same boulevardier vein a brace of Nash Metropolitans (from 1957 and 1958) is a reminder of this more unusual BMC model.

The more traditional British sports car segment has a 1974 MGB Roadster along with a 1974 and 1973 ‘BGT, a pair of 1974 Triumph TR6s and a 1973 example, too. Remaining on things Triumph-related, CCA is also offering a 1954 Swallow Doretti.

Five Porsche 911s add to the mix, the oldest, a 1985 Carrera, offered at no-reserve, as is a 2002 Carrera Targa. A rarely seen 1980 924 Turbo is an unusual sight, too.

Honda gets a look-in courtesy of two S800 Coupés, the Japanese offering also featuring three Subaru Imprezas dating from 1998, 2000 and 2002 respectively.

Rarities include a 1985 Alpina B10 that offers an unusual take on firs-tgeneration 7 Series ownership and should attract brisk bidding.

1947 LANCHESTER LD10

Lanchester lived on into the immediate post-war period but was rendered almost redundant as fellow BSA-owned brand Daimler stole the limelight. CCA’s LD10 was said to have been fully restored in the early 2000s but now needs some cosmetic improvement, including the interior.

There’s some history across the years as well as numerous photographs of the restoration.

ESTIMATE £3000- 5000

1985 ALPINA B10

When is a first-generation 7 Series not a BMW? When it’s an Alpina, as seen here. CCA’s B10 was supplied new to the UK and is one of 37 examples, of which just six are believed to still be active. Showing 92,000 miles and with five previous owners it has recently been re-painted in its original Diamond Black and the wheels have been refurbished. A top-class offering.

ESTIMATE £20,000- 25,000
