UPCOMING AUCTION
ANGLIA CAR AUCTIONS, KING’S LYNN. 6/7 APRIL
ACA packs in more than 150 classics over two days for its forthcoming second sale of the year
From a Datsun 100A to lots of BMW and Mercedes-Benz models there’s plenty to entice punters. The 7k-mile Datsun comes as a project, as does a 1977 Fiat 127 Special that’s been dry-stored for 35 years.
A 1993 BMW 840Ci tempts with its £8-10k estimate and a 1991 735iL has a £2-3k estimate. A 1993 Merc C220 that’s done just 16,000 miles is an unusual one; it’s estimated at £5-7k.
The 1971 and 1972 MGB Roadsters are both no-reserve, while a 1981 ’B GT in the lesser-seen Snapdragon Yellow is estimated at £5-7k. There’s also an ex-US 1958 Jaguar 3.4 at £9- 11k and a 1967 S-type 3.4 at £7-9k.
A 1953 Ford Popular that’s been re-commissioned after time in storage is estimated at £3-5k. A year-younger Consul offers middle-class suburban respectability for £3.5-4.5k and a stalled-project 1974 Escort 1300E comes to the sale at no-reserve.
A 1947 Cadillac Series 62 offers as much refinement as a Bentley MkVI. Staying Stateside, there’s a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 (£30-35k), while a pair of 1968 Mustangs – a 289 convertible and a 302 notchback – are both estimated at £18-20k.

1968 MORRIS 6CWT VAN
Bought and restored by the vendor last year, this pint-sized classic hauler enjoyed much work including new guttering, floors, sills and arches, while the brakes and steering were overhauled and the interior re-trimmed. It’s said to be driving well and has been dry-stored since the restoration. Tempting, especially given that all of the heavy work has been carried out.

1958 JAGUAR 3.4
Sold new in the US and UK-registered in May 2019, it’s thought this LHD MkI was restored in the ’90s. Since being registered it’s had two owners and is described as ‘driving superbly’. Ripe fo
