In an attic somewhere in South London is a very play-worn Corgi Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman. It really is in a sorry state and one could feel guilty for playing with such a car but, after all, they were toys. But Corgi’s Pullman had a lovely bit of brilliance that ensured it stood out over the Dinky rival – that being the ingenious rear axle mechanism that allowed functioning front wipers.
