A bustling and vibrant classic race meet, with incredible displays shoe-horned into a busy schedule and an entry list brimming with famous faces, the Goodwood Members’ Meeting is a real treat on the classic car calendar. With teams and drivers split into houses, accruing points through the races, it has the feel of a school sports day that’s got a bit out of hand. Gone is the 100m dash; in its place is the Ken Miles Cup.
Don’t worry though if you haven’t been able to get tickets for this year, because Goodwood will be streaming all the racing action online. Make sure you check their YouTube account, which is rammed with highlights and full coverage from previous years. And if you fancy sitting down for a two-day display of classic racing, here’s what there is to look forward to!
FAMOUS FACES
Goodwood is known for its pulling power when it comes to big names from the racing and automotive world. That includes the four house captains for this year who can claim four IndyCar championships in Dario Franchitti, three BTCC titles courtesy of Gordon Shedden, Tom Kristensen’s nine Le Mans 24 Hours victories and three WTCC triumphs from Andy Priaulx. Last year’s entry list saw big names such as Jason Plato, Steve Parrish, Chris Harris, Jake Hill, Karun Chandhok, Tiff Needell, Anthony Reid, Jochen Mass, Steve Soper and Max Chilton. Although the full list of driver entries for this year’s event hasn’t yet been confirmed, we do know that three-time W-series champion and IndyNXT driver Jamie Chadwick will be making her debut on the Goodwood circuit in the Ken Miles Cup.

Edge Trophy which will pit fire-spitting Edwardian racers against one another. The Gordon Spice Trophy is the blue-riband race for homologated saloon cars of a type that raced between 1970 and 1982, the home of door-bashing Capris, Camaros and Mustangs. The Derek Bell Cup, named for the Goodwood legend, is back for its sixth year featuring 1000cc Formula 3 cars built between 1964 and
