OLIVIA: ‘I’m not where I want to be –but I’m taking it easy’
She welcomed her first child, a baby boy, Abel, with husband Alex in June. And Olivia Bowen looked happy and healthy during a recent sun-soaked getaway to Mykonos – the couple’s first holiday as a family of three.
The Love Island favourites shared glimpses of their idyllic trip on Instagram and Olivia, 28, exuded body confidence as she lounged around the pool in a gorgeous bikini. It looked as though the power couple had a memorable time as they lapped up the sunshine, enjoyed local delicacies, and explored Mykonos town, while little Abel seemed totally content to feature in their sunny snaps. Sharing a beaming photo with his son, Alex, 31, sweetly referred to him as “Liv’s double”.
Olivia has consistently promoted body confidence, before, during and after her pregnancy. She was lauded by many of her three million Instagram followers for documenting how her body changed while carrying Abel, and several weeks postpartum.
The reality star shared an image of herself in lingerie while away, writing, “Feeling confident in your own skin isn’t always easy.”
She also posted videos of herself in the gym working out with Alex, writing alongside one of them, “I’m not where I want to be but I’m taking it easy and on holiday a girl gotta live. Back on it when I’m home and I cannot wait to see where I can get to by the end of the year!”
Alex and Olivia have been one of the rare couples who have stayed together after meeting on Love Island. They had instant chemistry when they met on the show in 2016 and have stayed together ever since, getting married in 2018.
The couple had a strong friendship with fellow Love Islanders Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey – who are parents to Freddie, four, and Delilah, two – but Olivia’s “trust issues” prior to getting married caused a rift between them. In 2020, Olivia confirmed that she and Cara had reconciled, admitting, “It’s been lovely to put everything behind us.”
