6 DAISY MAY COOPER: "One of the best scripts I’ve ever seen’
DAISY MAY ON TOP FORM TUE 4 APR, 10.40PM, BBC1
The irrepressible Daisy May Cooper delivers another flawless performance as Costello, a down-on-her-luck single mother fighting to get by in London, aided (and sometimes hindered) by her circle of mates. There’s entitled rich gay BFF Selby, the wayward Gloria – who works in her dad’s funeral home – and the wonderful Adrian Edmondson as an eccentric artist. And at the centre of the eight-part series is Costello’s daughter Iris, played beautifully by newcomer Fleur Tashjian. Hard-hitting, heartwarming and utterly original, Rain Dogs is a total triumph.
This unconventional love story stars Daisy May Cooper, 36, as a single mum fighting for a better life for her daughter…
