MEGHAN & HARRY FACE THEIR WORST NIGHTMARE

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing the real threat of being kicked out of the US following Harry’s drug use revelations – the latest in a string of scandals from his memoir that continue to haunt the couple

It’s been three years since Prince Harry stepped down as a senior royal – leaving his home in London to start a new life in Montecito, California, with wife Meghan Markle.

Last year, Harry, 38, who now shares three-year-old son Archie and daughter Lilibet, one, with Meghan, referred to the US as his “home” and revealed he had no plans to move back to the UK.

But last week, in a shock revelation, reports revealed how a foundation promoting public policy in Washington is now urging US officials to reveal the details of Harry’s US visa application, following a confession by the Prince in his memoir, Spare, that he’d previously used drugs including cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms.

BLINDSIDED

Following Harry’s revelations, several legal experts have spoken out to confirm that US immigration laws state that any history of drug use would typically mean that a visa application to live and work in the US would not be granted, leading to some speculation that his visa could be revoked, forcing him out of the country.

Now an insider tells Closer that this latest unexpected bombshell has blindsided the Sussexes, as they fear they could be left with nowhere to go if Harry were to be evicted from the United States.

The source says, “He and Meghan have built this wonderful new life for themselves and all their hopes and future dreams revolve around living and working in America. To have that taken away from them and be forced out would be their worst nightmare. It would change their lives overnight in a very bleak way.”

HAUNTED

However, Harry, 38, is believed to be dismissing the claims as speculation, with insiders saying he is adamant that, as a law-abiding citizen who pays his taxes and holds great reverence for the country, his previous drug use will be overlooked.

He revealed in his book that he had first taken cocaine at the age of 17 after a shooting weekend, but admitted he had smoked marijuana as late as 2016, after his first date in London with Meghan.

In a live Q&A session with a US therapist, which was streamed to ticket holders earlier this month, Harry – who referred to taking cocaine as “a social thing” – admitted, “Marijuana is different, that actually did really help me.”

Now the source adds, “Harry is shrugging it off and saying he was merely being honest and open about past indiscretions. He says he’s purged those demons many years ago, and that despite this new scandal over his drug use,
