Jada Pinkett Smith fears husband Will’s outburst at the Oscars is damaging her career and their marriage
It’s been the go-tosafe space for celebrities to share their deepest, darkest secrets ever since it started airing in 2018, but chat show Red Table Talk – hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith – has been binned by its makers, Facebook. As the actress now searches for a new home for her “baby”, she’s told friends she blames her husband, Will Smith, for the cancellation, following his shocking and violent behaviour at last year’s Oscars.
NO SYMPATHY
“Jada feels humiliated,” says an insider close to the 51-year-old, who’s been married to the Fresh Prince star since 1997, with the pair sharing two children, Jaden, 24, and Willow, 22. “She can say the network pulled all its shows – not just hers – but everyone knows that, ultimately, this was a business decision that came down to ratings. Jada wasn’t pulling in enough viewers and the guests have been hard to attract recently. It just wasn’t worthwhile keeping it going.”
And Jada is “fully blaming” her husband for the decision the platform has made.
“As far as she’s concerned, this is because of Will,” says Closer’s source. “She’s in a foul mood with him and says she has no sympathy for the situation he’s got himself – and her – into.
