GHOST HUNTERS’ SPLIT

When Linzi and Lee Steer decided to part ways, they became embroiled in a bitter legal battle over their spooks…

In most marriages, filing for divorce often leads to fighting over who gets the house, the car and custody of the kids. However, in Linzi and Lee Steer’s case, they are instead going head-to-head over spirit-tracking gear and haunted memorabilia.

Linzi, 53, and Lee, 37, are ghost hunters and own The Haunted Objects Museum where they live in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The museum is home to a vast collection of supposedly possessed items that the two have compiled over the years.

But since the split their bickering has resulted in the closure of the museum and the two now claim to be locked in a custody battle over the spirits attached to the haunted items.

Linzi says, “We’ve been together for about eight years now, but then Lee just walked out. It’s been a difficult time, which was made more difficult when I went into the museum one day soon after he left and discovered that he’d taken three of our haunted dolls without telling me.

SPIRIT

“The bridal doll, Elizabeth, which is possessed by a spirit that is notorious for attacking married men, was missing as well as rag doll Annabelle, a replica of the creepy toy from the film The Conjuring, and 100-year-old porcelain doll Scarlett. I was so upset.”

Lee and Linzi

After the dolls were taken, Linzi swiftly changed the locks on the museum to keep the spirits safe, which led to the couple’s divorce lawyer stepping in to stop the row from escalating any further.
