As they recruit one of Hollywood’s biggest power players, insiders reveal how William and Kate’s plan to storm the US has left Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘fuming’
They set tongues wagging earlier this month when it was revealed Kate Middleton and Prince William had hired Hollywood hotshot, Dame Pippa Harris, as a director of their Royal Foundation.
The announcement came just days after the couple were also revealed to be hiring aCEO for the first time in the history of the royal family. Now – with the third Earthshot Prize taking place next week on 7 November in Singapore – an insider reveals that Kate and William’s shake-up is just the start of a full-scale Hollywood-style takeover.
During a trip to New York last month to promote the initiative – which celebrates and rewards causes actively tackling climate change and environmental issues – Prince William, 41, proved hugely popular, with the city’s former mayor Michael Bloomberg telling him he had “won over Americans”.
And the Prince’s popularity has seen him and Kate, 41, rub shoulders with some of Hollywood’s biggest power players. The insider says, “William and
Kate are hoping to totally storm America, starting with their Earthshot initiative – they’re very eager to make an impact and they’re planning to tap all their celebrity friends for help.

“The list of prominent celebrities and power players in their circle is top notch and it’s growing. Everyone from Tom Cruise to Taylor Swift are fans of the royals and they’re going to take full advantage of it and hit up anyone who can help them reach their goals; that includes Jennifer Lopez, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, Reese Witherspoon and Michelle Obama.

While William and Kate’s feud with Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, has shown no signs of easing, Kate and Wills’ popularity Stateside has only been blossoming.
Despite the allegations of racism, bullying and physical assault that Meghan and Harry levelled at the royal family during their 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey and through Harry’s memoir, Spare – the tables appear to have turned.
While the likes of Hollywood royalty, including Oprah and Amal Clooney appear to have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry by failing to promote their December Netflix documentary, Kate and William remain firm friends with some of showbiz’s biggest names.
