‘HUMILIATED’ MEGHAN TELLS HARRY:
After months of schmoozing with Hollywood’s elite, insiders say Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been left ‘desperate’ to fix things with the royals, after being hit by another unexpected disaster
After battling months of public backlash, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been seen enjoying a number of high-profile events to show that they are still at the top of their game.
But last week, their efforts were shattered when Emmy award-winning US sitcom Family Guy – which typically has over one million viewers per episode – targeted the couple. Now a source tells Closer that the Sussexes’ latest image crisis has left Meghan feeling “desperate” and “humiliated” as she delivers an ultimatum to Harry to fix things with his family before they become a laughing stock.
The insider says, “The whole Family Guy situation has made it crystal-clear that the tides have turned against them in America. Over the past few weeks they’ve had some really encouraging signs that things were starting to come together, but then out of the blue came this savage attack. It’s a disaster.
“Meghan’s said she won’t be humiliated like this and is desperate for a solution. They’re in full panic mode and she’s blaming Harry. She’s told him that swallowing his pride and begging for his family’s forgiveness is the only way to save their brand.”
UNHAPPY ANNIVERSARY
Next month will mark one year since the release of their hugely successful Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan. It was followed shortly after by Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare.
However, the couple faced a huge and unexpected backlash from UK and US audiences for their brutal allegations against the royals, which included Harry’s accusation that Prince William assaulted him and that his family had bullied Meghan and ignored her cries for mental health support.
Then, in March, the couple were mocked in comedy animation series South Park in an episode titled “World Wide Privacy Tour”.
And while Meghan, 42, and Harry, 39, still retained over £100 million in deals, their £18 million contract with Spotify was terminated in June, with one of the streaming giant’s top

The series portrays them as attention-seekers executives branding the couple “grifters”.
And now the source says the latest Family Guy saga has only made things worse.
The skit shows a butler approaching the animated character of Harry with a cheque, telling him, “Sir, your millions from Netflix for… no one knows what”.
Next to him, Meghan is shown sunbathing before turning to Harry and
telling him it’s time to do their “$250,000 sponsored Instagram post” for a taco brand.
