ST KNICKERLESS!

Raven Nyx can make up to £60,000 a year selling her undies – and now she’s spending it on helping people celebrate the festive season

When Raven Nyx takes off her knickers at night, they don’t go in the laundry basket but straight into a sealed plastic bag. She then pops it into the post to one of her thousands of fans, who happily fork out up to £250 for a single pair of worn knickers.

But this isn’t a risqué money-making scheme so Raven can enjoy luxuries herself – instead, she donates her profits to charitable causes.

NICHE

Raven, who lives in Bristol, says, “I don’t think people care where the money comes from – though they might be surprised to find out! There are so many people struggling in the cost-of-living crisis and if I can afford to pay for their shopping because men want to buy my sweaty socks and worn pants, then I think it’s a good thing. Christmas is a time for giving – and I am!”

She wants to give those less fortunate a merry Christmas

She began her niche money-making scheme in 2017. Back then, animal lover Raven used the money to feed stray cats. The 38-year-old, who also works as a carer and in a pub, explains, “At the time, I did a bit of saucy modelling and calendar work and I posted some professional pictures on my Facebook fan page.

“One day, I got a message from a man offering money for my worn pants. I was surprised, but I thought about it and spoke to a friend and decided to go ahead – I’ve been doing it ever since.

DIFFICULT

“I’ve also sold my dirty socks, jars of my wee and even videos of me shaving my armpits! It’s extraordinary what some people will pay for. Previously, I used the money for my cats – I’ve got seven rescues and I’ve got two more that I’m about to home. But so many people are struggling financially these days that I’ve started buying food parcels, and I’ll give out even more for Christmas.”

It’s a particularly poignant time of year for Raven. Growing up, she had a difficult childhood and experienced waking up on Christmas morning with nothing to look forward to.

GRATEFUL

She explains, “My mother, who’s now sadly passed away, had addiction problems and we rarely got presents. But there were times when I lived with my grandparents and those Christmases were idyllic, filled with family, presents and delicious food. I know what a difference having a great Christmas can make.”

Raven has also experienced being homeless. She says, “In my early 20s, I had a boyfriend with mental health problems. We were living in a flat and he spent our rent money when he was depressed. We ended up living in a tent before I left him. I managed to get back on my feet
