As the Beckhams are pictured with Barack Obama, insiders say one particular member of ‘Hollywood royalty’ has been left ‘humiliated’
They’ve courted their fair share of fame and controversy this year following the release of their Beckham Netflix documentary in September. But it seems that David and Victoria Beckham have even bigger things planned for 2024, after being pictured with former US President Barack Obama at a charity event in Miami last week.
However, a source tells Closer that not everyone is thrilled by the Beckhams’ Stateside takeover – most notably Victoria’s former pal Meghan Markle.
“Seeing the Beckhams involved with the Obamas’ foundation leaves Meghan seething,” says our insider. “It’s another humiliating slap in the face. The Obamas were Meghan’s dream ticket to political success and she put a lot of effort into building on their relationship.
“Now, seeing the Beckhams enjoy that access has really set Meghan off and she’s taking it personally. She feels like the Beckhams have targeted and taken over what had been her own big plan.”
