SHOCK PREGNANCY

Last year, Meirivone Rocha Moraes told Closer all about her unusual love story with her rag doll husband, Marcelo. Now the couple have welcomed twins…

Meirivone Rocha Moraes married the love of her life, a rag doll called Marcelo, in 2022 and went on to have a rag doll son, Marcelinho. But last year, the pair found their romance hanging by a thread as, on their first anniversary, Meirivone claimed Marcelo had been unfaithful.

Furious, Meirivone made him sleep on the sofa and decided to detach Marcelo’s dildo penis – a 16cm, white rubber dildo – as punishment. But the pair soon patched things up and have now expanded their unusual family, welcoming twin baby girls.

Meirivone, 37, says, “I was so surprised it was twins! We’ve called one Marcela and the other still doesn’t have a name, I think it will be Emilia. Life is going to be busy now, but we’ve never been happier.”

LONELY

Meirivone and Marcelo’s love story began in 2021, when the traditional dancer, who lives in Brazil, couldn’t find a partner to do the Brazilian Forró with. She complained to her mum, a keen crafter, about the lonely ordeal and within a few months, her issues – and love life – were completely stitched back together.

Meirivone says, “It was love at first sight. When my mum made Marcelo and first introduced me to him, I fell in love with him immediately.”

Just a few months later, Meirivone found herself expecting her first puppet child and as she didn’t want to give birth out of wedlock, the two started planning an intimate ceremony. She says, “Our wedding was the most wonderful day of my life.

Over 250 people came and while the weather wasn’t great, it was still perfect.”

Of the wedding night, Meirivone simply says, “We enjoyed it a lot”.

The couple then enjoyed a week-long honeymoon at a beach house in Rio de Janeiro, where they anxiously waited for their offspring to arrive, and Meirivone gained a stone in baby weight.

Unsurprisingly, her pregnancy was met with scepticism, with Meirivone hitting back, “It is Marcelo’s baby, he didn’t use a condom. It upsets me when people say I’m faking my relationship. My parents raised me to be a good, honest person.”

CONTRACTIONS

Meirivone’s 35-minute labour was live streamed on social media. She says, “Thankfully, the birth was an easy ride.

I didn’t feel the contractions or have any pain. I almost didn’t believe I was in labour.”

The baby, named Marcelinho, arrived and had the same striking curls and button blue eyes as his father. Sinc
