Series two winner and Love Island favourite Cara De La Hoyde shares her thoughts on this year’s contestants and why she and husband Nathan Massey’s steamy on-screen sessions won’t be beaten
Viewers couldn’t get enough of Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey’s love story when they met in the Love Island villa during series two back in 2016.
The pair – now parents to Freddie, six, and Delilah, three – tied the knot in 2019 and are the longest-married couple to ever come out of the show.
And taking a trip down memory lane, Cara, 33, reveals she and Nathan, 31, are hooked on the new series of Love Island: All Stars – telling Closer what she really thinks of the famous islanders who have entered the South African villa.
She says, “If I’d have gone in there, I would have coupled up with Chris [Taylor]. He’s got the best personality and I want him to win. I think Chris and Georgia [Harrison] would be really good together. They’ve both got similar personalities – very chilled.”

Cara adds, “There’s a really good mix. I love Hannah [Elizabeth] as I’ve known her for years. She’s amazing. She’s just true to herself – she’s always been a playboy bunny, a Barbie Girl.
“I’d love her to win too but she’s got Reggie [her four-year-old son] at home so she probably just wants to go for a nice holiday. I don’t blame her!”
But Cara is also quick to dish out sound love advice to Liberty Poole – who fans accused Mitch Taylor of “love bombing” when he bombarded her with chat-up lines last week.
She says, “Liberty is lovely too but I’m not sure about Mitch. I didn’t watch the last series but I’ve heard he’s a bit of a player. I think she’s such a nice girl, she needs a good guy.”
And while viewers are likely to best remember Cara and Nathan’s under-the-covers antics and the time Nathan cartwheeled after having an orgasm, the mum-of-two says she and her hubby aren’t expecting any competition when it comes to steamy sessions on screen.
Cara adds, “Nathan and I were talking about how we don’t think anyone will have sex. We were in series two when there were no rules. It was like the Wild West!
“It’s not like it is now. There’s video evidence of us having sex – for anyone to watch. Enjoy!”
