Camilla: ‘meeting jamie on love island was pure luck!’

The show favourite tells Closer about her thoughts on this year’s series, her relationship with co-star Jamie Jewitt and life as a mum of two, with another on the way

She charmed fans with her down-to-earth appearance on series three, eventually becoming a Love Island success story after going on to marry and start a family with co-star Jamie Jewitt, and now Camilla Thurlow has advice for the cast of Love Island: All Stars.

“The main thing is to enjoy it,” Camilla, 34, tells Closer. “It’s such an incredible and unique experience. If you’re lucky enough to get to do a once-in-a-lifetime experience twice, then you just have to go for it.”

The former Explosive Ordnance Disposal officer adds, “It was pure luck that I met Jamie on Love Island. And it’s pure luck whether or not this year’s cast find someone on the show.”

Before Jamie, 33, entered the villa, Camilla had a rocky time on the show when her partner, Jonny Mitchell, cruelly dumped her. As her fellow Islander Georgia Harrison searches for love on All Stars, the busy mum of two admits that she’s struggled to see much of the 2017 cast.

She shares, “We all stay in touch generally, but I don’t see them much because we’ve moved as a family from London out to Essex and having two children and expecting a third, it feels like the years have whipped by.

“I don’t get out much and I don’t socialise much – I’m rarely awake past 9.30pm. I love seeing what everyone is up to on social media though.”

Nowadays Camilla is focused on raising her rapidly growing family – as well as her two daughters, Nell, three, and Nora, one, she’s currently pregnant with a little boy due in the spring – and her work as an influencer.
