Georges and Peggy have gone from strength to strength

Thousands watched their love story play out on last year’s series of Married At First Sight UK, where they overcame many bumps in the road to see the experiment out until the very end.

And now, Georges Berthonneau tells Closer that his relationship with Peggy Rose is still going strong, with the TV groom detailing their future plans to move in together and start a family.

During the experiment, the couple butted heads in a priority-listing task, when Peggy placed having children notably higher than Georges. But they seem to have found common ground, as he says, “The plan is to have children. Obviously we’ve got to stay together, move in together and get engaged. She lives at home, I live at mine. I’d have her move in with me, but she has so much stuff!”

Surrey-based Georges, 30, and Kent girl Peggy, 33, went on a memorable journey on the popular E4 reality show. While initial sparks flew at the altar, Peggy began developing concerns that her husband was not always presenting his true self, with the doubts only growing with outside opinions from her family and castmates. But perhaps the most contentious issue for tech risk partner Peggy was Georges’ gaming which, as notoriously unveiled on screen, saw him squatting for fellow gamers.

“I think this is embarrassing, humiliating, degrading. I just think I’ve had enough. I’m out of here,” Peggy snapped after watching the footage.
