CRAZY IN LOVE

Danielle Gross took a chance on a stranger – and things couldn’t have worked out better…

REAL LIFE

When Danielle Gross scrolled TikTok one evening, the last thing she expected to find was the future love of her life.

Danielle, 27, says that she’d always wanted to get married in an “unconventional way”, so when she saw ahandsome man –Gunnar Michels – looking for a wife, she jumped at the chance to say “I do”.

Gunnar had tons of applications from women hoping to be the chosen one, but waitress Danielle caught his eye.

Two weeks later, on Valentine’s Day 2021, the couple got wed in a Las Vegas ceremony – and despite their unusual start, the pair are still blissfully happy.

Danielle says, ‘We married as strangers, but it turns out we’re perfect together!”

ADVENTUROUS

Danielle always had an adventurous spirit. Aged 24, she converted an old ambulance into a tiny home so she could travel the USA. Then, one evening, she stumbled across a video that would totally transform her life.

Gunnar, 27 – a successful TikToker known for making videos about photography – had just announced that he was planning on marrying a stranger, and was taking applications from women on the app, turning it into a bit of a competition for fun.

Danielle liked the sound of it, so she applied to be his bride. She says, “I wasn’t looking for a serious relationship, but this sounded like a good laugh.

I loved Gunnar’s content on TikTok. He was funny and had a laid-back attitude like me.

AUDITION

“In his TikTok video, he said he wanted to break some norms and prove life’s a game. That sounded right up my street.”

The next day, Danielle got straight to work filming her audition video. She found a white jumpsuit in her wardrobe and recorded a video on her phone. She says, “I said I’d always thought that if I did get married it’d be a crazy wedding in Vegas. Then I mentioned that we could take a road trip there in my ambulance! I asked all my friends and family to send him the video, too, so I could be absolutely sure he’d see it. They thought it was fun.

“Gunnar messaged me a few days later and we had a quick chat on the phone. Then, I was out clothes shopping with a friend the following week when he FaceTimed me. He was calling to let me know I’d been chosen as his bride and he was driving over to film the proposal!”
