As she approaches the big 5-0, Victoria Beckham isn’t happy about husband David’s apparent lack of enthusiasm in party planning
She’s set to celebrate her 50th birthday later this month in what’s billed to be the “Godmother of all parties”. But insiders say Victoria Beckham has been dreading her milestone – something not helped by a series of spats with husband David which have cast shade over the run-up to her special day.
Asource tells Closer, “Vic had hoped David would be going all-out for her big birthday, dealing with all the planning to take away the pressure of organising everything. Instead, she’s been the one hiring and liaising with event planners and doing all the work, sending out invites to pals like Eva Longoria and Kim K. This has left her feeling really miffed with David, especially given how much effort she put into planning his incredible 40th celebration in Marrakesh.” And it seems the stress has really got to Victoria.
“She confronted him last week –telling him how let down she felt over his apparent lack of effort which made her feel like her big day didn’t matter to him,” the insider explains. “She broke down in tears as she explained how overwhelmed she was feeling with all the stress of the planning, in addition to her fears over turning 50 – telling David at this point she just wanted to cancel it all and escape with a couple of girlfriends.

“She told him how she’d hoped he’d have planned an incredible week of celebrations for her. But, from what she’d seen, it made her feel like he simply didn’t care.”
Posh’s big birthday falls less than three months before her and David’s 25th wedding anniversary, as well as their youngest daughter, Harper, becoming a teenager, as she prepares to celebrate her 13th birthday just a week later.
