ANT & ANNE-MARIE PREPARE FOR THEIR NEW ARRIVAL
Smiling from ear-to-ear as he looked lovingly down at his wife Anne-Marie Corbett’s blossoming baby bump, Ant McPartlin looked happy and settled last week as the couple enjoyed a lunch date in London.
The first-time dad-to-be, 48, and Anne-Marie, 46 – who are expecting their first child together after marrying in August 2021 – were joined by pals Jamie Redknapp and his wife, model Frida Andersson.
Anne-Marie, who is already mum to two teenage daughters from her marriage to businessman Scott Corbett, was also spotted cradling her bump while doting Ant protectively held her hand.
Although the couple, who first met when Anne-Marie worked as Ant’s PA during his 12-year marriage to Lisa Armstrong, are notoriously private, Ant has previously spoken out about his wish to become a dad.
Candidly opening up about fertility struggles during his marriage to make-up artist Lisa, who he acrimoniously split from in 2017, Ant said in 2013, “Lisa and I would love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older.”
But Ant has relished in his role as “uncle” to best pal Declan Donnelly’s two children – Isla, five, and one-year-old Jack.
On spending time with Isla, he said to Declan in 2020, “I haven’t done a nappy. I was around yours the other day. We were doing a lot of playing in the garden – she’s absolutely beautiful.”
Meanwhile, the Britain’s Got Talent star is also said to be a “doting” stepdad to Anne-Marie’s two daughters, and still shares joint custody of Hurley, his Labrador with Lisa.
