The MAFS star’s close friends fear that he’s ‘being used’ by girlfriend Katie Price
JJ Slater’s closefriends have stressed concerns about his relationship with Katie Price, sources tell Closer.
Despite the couple appearing to go from strength to strength, their whirlwind romance has left those close to the reality star feeling worried, especially in the light of recent headlines around Katie, 45, and her latest bankruptcy hearings.
“JJ’s inner circle are concerned and want him to wake up and smell the coffee,” our source says, “They think Katie’s got him under some toxic spell.”
Katie and Married At First Sight star JJ, 31, were first linked at the end of last year after meeting on a night out in Newcastle where Katie was hanging out with Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry. Their relationship has seemingly become very serious very quickly, with Closer reporting just last month that Katie already wants to marry JJ and have a baby with him. During their recent Cyprus getaway, Katie was even spotted outside a fertility clinic.

“Jetting away to Cyprus was Katie’s idea and had nothing to do with JJ,” our source continues. “He isn’t rolling in money and he can’t afford to throw cash around on holidays.
“Those closest to him think the relationship is doomed already, and they’re urging him to jump ship, especially after he told his friends he’s worried about her and how vulnerable she is. It makes them worry that she’s now trapping him into being her emotional support.”
Katie has been making headlines recently after it emerged she’d been declared bankrupt for the second time, owing £750,000 in unpaid tax to HMRC. The star has since missed several court hearings, blaming health issues as the reason, despite missing one while soaking up the sun on holiday in Cyprus.
It then emerged that Katie was selling personalised messages online for fans at £120 a pop.
