The Isle of Man beach cleaning charity Beach Buddies has won one of the world’s top environment accolades at the Energy Globe World Awards.

The charity won the Youth category award for its pioneering educational work in schools and with young people. “From the very beginning in 2006 we saw that children wanted to be involved and genuinely loved the chance to race down the beaches to collect rubbish.”
