The development offers plenty of space for marina businesses

Something special is happening on the edge of the water in a beautiful corner of Devon. £75m worth of special, in fact. I am referring to Premier Marinas’ redevelopment of Noss on Dart marina, in a fabulous location just across the water from the iconic coastal town of Dartmouth.

Noss on Dart was acquired by Premier Marinas in 2016 and comprises 37 acres of foreshore and woodland set on the east bank of the River Dart in the South Devon Area of Natural Beauty. The £75m regeneration project will create a unique place of interest and activity including first class marina facilities, shops, office space, marine services and a luxury hotel where the views promise to take the breath away.

Already, having been given a guided tour of the development when it is not yet complete, I can tell this is going to be the gold standard when it comes to marinas in the UK.

Phase one is already complete. This includes a floating marina, a state-ofthe-art, full-service boatyard, a dry stack for around 100 small motorboats, a multi-decked car park, a self-store facility and a thriving tenant community offering diverse marine services, plus a larger space to provide a home for the South Devon College Marine Academy.
